Stupidity and dangerous walk hand in hand

this country is in the worst situation of my 54 years. The division is greater than I’ve ever known. Both parties have lost their minds. There’s no common sense. trump is the most dangerous man on the planet. Hate, racism, bigotry and homophobia are alive and well in America. I fear the damage he has inflicted upon us is irreversible. I now have issues with literal life long friends. A few who have become so boisterous about their racism are no longer welcome in my home.

An absolute truism about me is I can’t pretend that that which I disagree with is ok. I will speak up. I will call you out on your racism, bigotry or homophobic comments. And if you take a stance of self righteousness about it, I will bid you farewell from my life.

Principle is of utmost importance to me. In my younger days I walked many a protest parade. I held many picket signs. Unfortunately that was 3 felony convictions ago and those days are behind me. But I do absolutely endorse every single person to take a stand for that which is important to them. We only have our basic rights because of brave people who stood in the face of oppression and said enough!

I am in disbelief that 2000 years after the Christ walked among us and tried to teach us that we still don’t have equal rights under law. I find it appalling that in our great country people still feel the sting of racism. I am constantly saddened hearing people that I love talking about homosexuality as a sin or a choice or that it’s being taught in the “Liberal Schools”

I don’t know what the actual numbers are but the fact that the military budget dwarfs the education budget more than 100 fold is beyond comprehension to me. When literally the answer to every question upon the Earth lays in a better educated population.

This fear of change from the Right is not even valid since the Right can’t even agree on what their definition of Right is anymore. It’s certainly not the Regan era Right anymore. Or even the Bush for that matter.

And I don’t mean to imply that the Left is Omnipotent. It’s gone equally as crazy. There’s no clear choice for the centrist anymore. America as I was raised to understand it is a memory. It’s hate vs love. Trump and his supporters are hate and the rest of us are the love we so desperately long for.
